PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

We are seeking a skilled hands-on imaging data analyst with a strong experience in image data preparation, standardization, exploratory analysis, and statistical analysis to take ownership of a strategically important project.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Propose and deliver data analysis pipelines to extract information about novel herbicide mode of action from strategic, proprietary datasets. By means of example, these may entail the application of specialized approaches in image analysis, phenotype fingerprinting and clustering.
  • Evaluate and deploy analytical tools for image processing, analysis, quantification, and interactive image visualization.
  • Anticipate and plan infrastructure requirements and integration to accompany company growth and diversification.
  • Advise and support cross-functional projects on quantitative analysis of image data.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Required

  • PhD/DPhil, in a biological discipline and/or a data science in biological research background with evidence of solid experience in image data analysis. Proven track record in a research organisation (academia/pharmaceutical/biotech/agtech/CRO ). Alternatively, a Master’s degree with considerable experience in using software for image data analysis will also be considered.
  • Experience of delivering image data analysis pipelines using commercial or open-source software packages.
  • Experience of delivering batch and parsing scripts.
  • Experience of extracting information from complex biological datasets.
  • A solid foundation in advanced data analysis for biostatistics is expected.


Desirable

  • Experience handling large datasets and automated workflows.

  • Effective communication skills both in writing and at meetings with both specialists and non-specialists.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Image data analysis using commercial or open-source software packages. FiJi macro programming is desired.
  • Batch and parsing script writing. R and Python writing skills are desired.
  • Advanced data analysis for biostatistics.
