Our company is looking for a scientific Project Manager to manage R&D projects in Moa’s portfolio, from initiation to close.

Manage all aspects, from initiation to close, of defined R&D projects at moa.

Participate in all phases of the project life cycle, attend relevant project meetings and track and control project activities.

Facilitate the organisation and implementation of regular Project Governance meetings.

Interact with cross functional groups in a productive, collaborative manner to ensure accurate and timely completion of all project activities.

Work with the project team and key stakeholders to facilitate creation and maintenance of project information - objectives, milestones, design, schedule, budget, progress, issues & risks.

Participate in project issue resolution.

Provide regular project status and metrics updates to key project stakeholders.

Act as liaison between the Project Team and the PMO.

Champion the on-going implementation of a project-centric way of working at moa.

Liaise and work with Finance team to generate monthly financial reports.

Upkeep and administration of the Contract Database.



Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or similar


Master’s degree, MBA or PhD

PMP or Prince 2 certification



Experience in working in across functional, matrix environment with a project-centric approach - must be team oriented and have strong interpersonal skills, including effective oral and written communication skills.

Experience of project delivery/management with internal stakeholders, including project control and governance skills.

Proven organisational skills and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and ability to collaborate effectively across groups.

Demonstrated ability to succeed in an organisation transitioning from early biotech to a complex matrix organisation with diverse stakeholder groups.

Proven leadership skills, maturity, and emotional intelligence

Technical expertise or PM experience within agricultural science or pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.

Experience with Project Management and accounting tools, such as Smartsheet and NetSuite are also highly desirable.
