moa is recruiting for a Laboratory Technician
moa Technology Limited is an innovative and rapidly growing R&D crop protection company that is revolutionizing the future of weed control in agriculture. We have recently secured $44m (£35m) in Series B funding to advance a new generation of safe, sustainable, and effective herbicides and help the farmers produce high quality food. To achieve this goal, moa Technology has developed 3 unique and complementary platforms: moa-GALAXY, moa-TARGET, and moa -SELECT.

The post-holder will have:
· BSc or equivalent in a biological or life science discipline.
· Experience working in a biology laboratory, in industry or academia (beneficial but not essential).
· Experience with molecular biology techniques (beneficial but not essential).
· Experience studying plant biology or working with plants (beneficial but not essential).
Building on the success of SELECT, we are expanding our capabilities and looking for an entry level graduate with exceptional organisation skills, to carry out the following tasks:
· Generate, genotype, maintain and propagate plant lines.
· Design and clone plasmids.
· Screen libraries of compounds.
· Manage and maintain media, buffers, and stocks.
· Clearly communicate results, successes, and issues.
· Maintain accurate records (e.g., electronic laboratory notebooks, QMS).
· Contribute to reports, SOPs, risk assessments, lab meetings, etc.
The role is not restricted to the above and may vary to support the needs of SELECT.
