Last week the Moa team returned to exhibit at the largest agtech gathering in the southern hemisphere – AgriFutures evokeAG. This key convention, which this year took place in Melbourne, brings together growers, innovators, regulators, academia and government from Australia and across APAC to find opportunities for collaboration and progress.
Australian agriculture has big problems with herbicide-resistant weeds and, as always, we met a lot of growers on our stand who were very pleased to hear that Moa is working on novel modes of action that will help them defend their crops without needing to resort to damaging tilling. We also had good conversations with the Grains Research and Development Corporation, which is funded by growers and invests millions every year into research to help Australian cereal productivity, and with the APVMA, which oversees new herbicide registration in Australia.
We were delighted to be joined on our stand for Day 2 by Matt Smith, Broadacre Lead at Nufarm Australia. Matt talked to delegates about Nufarm’s R&D collaboration with Moa on an exciting broad spectrum pre-emergence novel mode of action herbicide, which continues to progress at an impressive pace.
